Stephen and I decided we needed to get out of the city and see some countryside so these are some photos from our hike this last saturday. It was 2.4 miles total and it took us about 1 hour and 40 minutes. It basically consisted of a bunch of really steep hills that we had to climb up and down....whew! But it was fun and the view was awesome!
An uphill battle all the way
Up, up, up....
I thought it would never end
Finally! Although, it was bittersweet because we still had to go all the way back... :)

The Adventure Begins
We left Baker on Wednesday the 22, dropped our stuff off at the shipping place on thursday morning, got the truck stolen on thursday night, chilled out around our hotel the next few days (thank goodness there was a mall nearby) and flew out this morning at 900 am. Now we are just relaxing at our new apartment after a trip to the grocery store, and anxiously awaiting the chance to go shopping for some different furniture. We have about 8 days until our stuff gets here so we will be able to check out the area and the bus system...and of course the beach!
Leaving Baker with all our luggage.

Flora
Aside from my Roxie, flowers and various other types of foliage are among my favorite photography subjects. :)
I took this on our trip to Hawaii two years ago.
These little treasures I found in the bushes around Grandma and Grandpa Henry's cabin in Idaho.
This is one of the many beautiful roses that my Grandpa Burbank grows in his yard.
I found this swirly little palm start in Palm Springs, CA. I went to visit my great uncle on my birthday with my mom and grandma.

Grandmas Farm
These are some pictures I took on a trip to my Grandma Toadys farm. This is one of my favorite places in the world to be. Its just so beautiful and peaceful out there. I have so many wonderful memories out there, it will always have a special place in my heart. Every time I set foot on that soggy, mossy ground, I think of my Grandpa Toady. All of the things he taught me, about animals and nature. He gave me my love for the outdoors, and I will always remember him and think of him when I am there. I wish I could capture those feelings on "film" but hopefully these photos will come close. Feelings of serenity, and of just getting back to nature.
